What is a holistic nutritionist?
A holistic nutritionist is trained in proper nutritional principles, which are at the basis of good health. They recognize that each person is biochemically distinct and has unique nutritional needs, as such, they are able to customize a nutritional plan to fit an individual's own needs and health goals. The holistic nutritionist will work directly with each person to create a successful wellness program incorporating food and lifestyle modifications.
I have never been to a holistic nutritionist before, is there anything I should bring to my initial consultation?
Yes, please bring any medications and/or supplements that you are currently taking. You should also bring your food log (I will provide the log template via email prior to our first meeting).
Does insurance cover your nutrition services?
Some private or extended health care benefit plans cover the nutrition counselling services of a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N.). Many offer “Flex Plans” or “Health Spending Accounts” that allow for funds to be allocated towards your choice of health-related services.  Contact your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage and/or confirm with your Human Resources department that you are covered.
If you aren’t covered for Registered Holistic Nutritionists and you would like to be, you can contact your Human Resources department in writing and request for nutrition services to be added to your company’s extended insurance plan.
Do you provide invoices?
Yes, I can provide invoices.
